प्रत्येक व्यक्ति शरीररूपी भौतिक रथ पर सवार है (Everyone rides a physical chariot )

 

वैदिक साहित्य ( कठोपनिषद :  १, ३, ३, ४ ) 

 आत्मानं रथिन विद्धि शरीरं रथमेव च  

बुद्धि तु सारथि विद्धि मनः प्रग्रहमेव च | 

इंद्रियाणि हयानाहुवीर्षयांस्तेषु  गोचरान 

आत्मेन्द्रियमनोयुक्तं भोक्तेत्याहुमर्रनीषिण | |  

इस श्लोक का भावार्थ है : -

प्रत्येक व्यक्ति शरीररूपी भौतिक रथ पर सवार है, इस रथ में सारथी बुद्धि, मन लगाम तथा पांच घोड़े हमारी पांच इंद्रियों के प्रतीक है, हम मन तथा इंद्रियों के प्रभाव द्वारा इस संसार में सुख तथा दुःख को भोगते हैं | 

 

इस बात को हम बहुत अच्छी तरह से समझ सकते हैं, अगर हम एक रथ द्वारा अपने तय स्थान तक पहुंचना चाहें तो रथ का सारथी हमें हमारे लक्ष्य तक पहुंचा देगा | एक दूसरी अवस्था है जिसमें हम अपने तय स्थान तक जाने के लिए रथ में बैठते हैं परन्तु इस रथ में सारथी नहीं है तो अब आपको लगता है की हम कभी अपने तय स्थान तक पहुँच पाएंगे  | अगर रथ में लगाम सारथी के हाथों में नहीं है तो इस अवस्था में रथ में जुते घोड़े अपनी ही मर्जी के मालिक होंगे, जिधर ें घोड़ों का मन होगा उधर जाएंगे तथा जब भी मन क्या हरी घास इत्यादि खाने में लग जाएंगे |  

उपरोक्त श्लोक पर मंथन करने के बाद यह बात स्वयं सिद्ध होती है अगर हम अपने जीवन में अपने द्वारा तय किये हुए किसी भी लक्ष्य को प्राप्त करना चाहतें है तो हमें अपनी बुद्धि द्वारा अपने मन तथा इंद्रियों पर नियंत्रण करना ही होगा अन्यथा असफलता ही हाथ लगेगी  |

Every person is riding on a physical chariot, in this chariot, the charioteer is the symbol of our five senses, our mind and the five horses, we experience happiness and sorrow in this world through the influence of the mind and senses.

We can understand this very well, if we want to reach our designated place by a chariot, then the charioteer of the chariot will lead us to our goal. There is another stage in which we sit in a chariot to reach our designated place, but now this chariot does not have a charioteer.Do you think that we will ever reach our designated place? If the chariot is not in the hands of the charioteer, then in this state, the horses in the chariot will be the owners of their own choice, wherever the mind of the horses will go, and whenever the mind wants to eat green grass etc.

After churning on the above verses, this thing proves itself that if we want to achieve any goal we have set in our life, then we have to control our mind and senses through our intellect, otherwise failure will be at hand. |
